A special journey combining the monuments of Ancient Egypt, the culture of Cairo, and an adventure in the Siwa Oasis in Egypt’s Western Desert.

Siwa is one of the best destinations in Egypt to experience the 2027 total solar eclipse, second only to Luxor in terms of the duration of totality. In the unique desert setting, you can combine this extraordinary phenomenon with a 4×4 safari, a traditional Bedouin dinner, and an overnight camping experience beneath the Egyptian sky.

Day 1 – July 29, 2027 | Arrival in Cairo and Airport Assistance

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, our team will assist passengers by providing guidance through the arrival procedures and help with purchasing the Egyptian visa. A private transfer will then take passengers to their chosen hotel. The rest of the day will be free to relax after the international journey.

July 30, 2027 | Pyramids of Giza, Great Sphinx, and Valley Temple

After breakfast, meet your Portuguese-speaking Egyptologist guide in the hotel lobby to begin the visit to the archaeological complex of Giza. The tour will include the three great pyramids — Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure —, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple, associated with Pharaoh Khafre’s funerary complex. During the tour, there will be an optional stop for shopping for souvenirs and traditional Egyptian products.

Lunch will be at leisure at a local restaurant, at the passengers’ own expense. After the visits, return to the hotel to relax.

Evening – Optional Dinner: Enjoy the option of a dinner cruise on the Nile River, with entertainment depending on the package selected.

After breakfast, depart with your Portuguese-speaking guide to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), dedicated to Ancient Egyptian civilization and its extraordinary archaeological collections. After the visit, lunch will be at leisure and is not included in the package. In the afternoon, continue to the Citadel of Saladin and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali. Next, visit the Coptic Quarter, with its historic churches, time permitting, followed by a walk through the traditional Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, known for its handicrafts, spices, jewelry, and local products. At the end of the day, return to the hotel and enjoy some free time.

Day 4 – August 1, 2027 | Overland Journey from Cairo to Siwa

After breakfast, depart from Cairo for Siwa Oasis, located in Egypt’s Western Desert. The overland journey takes approximately 9 hours, depending on road and traffic conditions. Technical stops will be made along the way for rest breaks and restroom facilities. Meals and drinks during the journey are at the passengers’ own expense. Upon arrival in Siwa, transfer to the accommodation included in the package and check in. The remainder of the day will be free to relax and prepare for the total solar eclipse experience the following day.

Day 5 – August 2, 2027 | Total Solar Eclipse, 4×4 Safari, and Bedouin Desert Experience

This will be the highlight of the trip. The experience begins with a 4×4 safari into the Western Desert, crossing the natural landscapes and sand dunes of the Siwa region. The group will head to a pre-selected viewing location with an open horizon and suitable conditions for observing the total solar eclipse. There, passengers will have the opportunity to experience the solar eclipse on August 2, 2027, in an extraordinary natural setting.

Siwa is one of Egypt’s leading destinations for observing the 2027 total solar eclipse, second only to Luxor in terms of the duration of totality. The experience combines this astronomical phenomenon with desert landscapes and an exclusive adventure in a 4×4 vehicle.

After observing the eclipse, the adventure will continue with time to enjoy the desert scenery. At the end of the experience, a traditional Bedouin dinner will be served, followed by an overnight desert camp, depending on the arrangements reserved.

Important: During all partial phases of the eclipse, certified solar viewing glasses must be worn. Looking directly at the Sun without proper eye protection is safe only during the totality phase, while the solar disk is completely covered by the Moon.

Day 6 – August 3, 2027 | Free Day in Siwa Oasis and Optional Excursions

After breakfast, the day will be free to relax or explore the natural landscapes and traditional culture of Siwa Oasis. Passengers may enjoy optional excursions, such as visiting Magic Lake, Siwa’s natural springs, and the sand dune areas, with the option to book an additional 4×4 safari. They may also visit the local market to purchase dates, olive oil, handicrafts, and other traditional products, as well as sample the region’s typical cuisine at local restaurants.

Lunch, dinner, drinks, and optional excursions will be at the passengers’ own expense. At the end of the day, return to the accommodation in Siwa.

Day 7 – August 4, 2027 | Return from Siwa to Cairo and End of Services

After breakfast and check-out, depart from Siwa for Cairo. The overland journey will take approximately 9 hours, depending on road conditions, with technical stops for rest along the way. Meals and drinks during the journey will be at the passengers’ own expense. Upon arrival in Cairo, the land services included in the program will come to an end.

If passengers have an international flight scheduled for the same day, the departure time must be checked in advance, allowing sufficient buffer time for potential delays. An additional night in Cairo is recommended if the flight departs early or if there is insufficient time to ensure a safe connection.
